Gayle Ely is a Certified Professional Coach and the founder of Total Life Leadership, a Life and Leadership Coaching company focused on helping accomplished professionals lead themselves and others with passion and intent. Gayle is a seasoned business professional with over 30 years experience in the public and private sector. She holds a BS in Business Administration from San Diego State University and an MBA from the University of Louisville.
Gayle started her career working in accounting for a private plumbing firm in San Diego, CA. In 1990, she joined the U.S. Department of Agriculture agency responsible for regulating the terms of trade between dairy farmers and dairy processors. From a Human Resources position, she worked her way up to the position of Chief Operations Officer (COO) for the Atlanta regional office managing multiple business units with oversight for a $5 million operating budget and $20 million in supplementary funding. She retired from the COO position in 2012.
In addition to her work as a coach, Gayle is also the business manager for Total Life Care Counseling, a Marriage and Family Therapy private practice. She is also the Coordinator of Volunteer Programs for Dress for Success Atlanta, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping disadvantaged women find and keep employment.
In her personal life, Gayle is an avid reader and enjoys yoga, working out and spending time with her husband and their 3 furry felines.
